COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 77-year-old man who refused to be checked by paramedics after crashing his car died a day later at the hospital.

Investigators say Peter Kremlick lost control of his van while trying to swerve to miss another car around 10 a.m. Saturday and hit a utility pole near the Columbiana Mall.
