Paramedic Assaulted after Unsuccessful CPR

A family member of the deceased also damaged equipment, threatened to kill

KIRYAT TIV'ON, ISRAEL -- A Magen David Adom paramedic who performed CPR on a 60-year-old woman in Kiryat Tivon was assaulted and injured when a family member realized their resuscitation efforts failed. The incident occurred on Shabbos morning 6 Adar 5773.

The crew told police when they filed the official complaint that when they informed the son of the nifteres that there was nothing left to be done he assaulted them. A paramedic sustained a significant injury to a hand and they report the damage to equipment amounts to tens of thousands of NIS.
