The Tulsa World captured the gratifying story of a woman and three paramedics in their headline "Sand Springs woman tells story of life-saving paramedics."
Nine months ago Tara Snyder almost died of cardiac arrest. This week she had the opportunity to tell her story and thank her rescuers in front of EMSA's paramedic class. Thanking paramedics Ed McConville, Christian Merrifield and Gary Bullock, Snyder remarked how the trio had defibrillated her a total of nine times before returning her heart to a normal rhythym.
The paramedics went on to tell about what they considered to be the longest cardiac arrest they ever worked. McConville mentioned how the remarkable recovery of their patient impacted his own life in making better choices for a healthier life.
