MANCHESTER, N.H. - A New Hampshire emergency official says an ambulance carrying a patient to the hospital after an accident was hit by a car that ran a red light in Manchester.
Fire Battalion Chief Al Poulin says the Rockingham Regional ambulance was spun around by the impact in the 7 p.m. Monday crash, hit a parked car and then went into a porch.
He tells the New Hampshire Union Leader the ambulance was carrying a patient who had suffered neck and back injuries in an earlier accident.
Poulin says the patient did not suffer any additional injuries. No one else was hurt, either.
Police say the driver of the car that hit the ambulance was given a ticket for running a red light.
