LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- An emergency medical technician who spoke to WLKY on Monday about overtime issues at Metro EMS has been fired.

Patty Greer said the agency terminated her Wednesday.
On Monday, Greer said both EMTs and paramedics face constant fatigue due to mandatory overtime.
EMTs and paramedics work 12-hour shifts three days one week and four days the next week. However, they are subject to mandatory holds for an additional four hours.
Greer said Monday she was on indefinite suspension after briefly falling asleep while entering information on her laptop computer at a patient's home on Saturday.
Greer is appealing her firing and said she'll file a complaint accusing Metro EMS of a hostile work environment.
She also said she'll talk to her attorney about a possible lawsuit.
