John Hopkins Named Nation’s Best Hospital

Maryland hospital continues winning streak

Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Md. is the top-ranked hospital in the country according to U.S. News & World Report.  The world-famous medical center ranks among the top in several categories in the magazine's newest special report.

According to U.S. News, Hopkins is the number one hospital in the nation in five areas: Ear/Nose/Throat, Gynecology, Neurology, Rheumatology, and Urology.  It also comes in the top five in several other categories.

Washington Hospital Center in the District also ranks high in several of the major categories.  It is 16th for diabetes care, 19th for heart surgery, and 40th in gynecology.

The Children's National Medical Center in Washington also ranks high among children's health care categories.  It is eighth nationwide in neonatology, 14th for pediatric cancer care, and 15h for pediatric heart surgery and heart care.
