World Trade Center Memorial

JEMS Editor-in-Chief A.J. Heightman shares compelling images of the memorial.

In remembrance of friends and colleagues killed on Sept. 11, 2001, JEMS Editor-in-Chief A.J. Heightman visited the World Trade Center Memorial.

The memorial features reflecting pools in the exact location of each tower’s former foundation (“footprint”) surrounded by a black marble wall that displays the name of each building occupant and the emergency responders killed on 9/11 when the Towers collapsed.

Heightman found the location of many of the responders killed on that awful day and wanted to share those images with our readers.

They are featured here in this compelling gallery.
