HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police say a driver has died after his car went out of control and hit an ambulance parked on a street during a medical call.
Police say the accident happened early Thursday in northwest Houston.
The name of the 21-year-old man, who died after being transported to a hospital, was not immediately released.
Police say a paramedic who was alone in the ambulance suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, as a precaution.
Another ambulance was dispatched to respond to the original medical call.
