Former West Virginia Paramedic Banned from Future EMS Employment

Webster received probation for operating a meth lab in his home.

Charleston Gazette | | Friday, April 13, 2012

Kanawha County Circuit Judge Carrie Webster placed a former Kanawha County paramedic Tuesday on two years' probation for operating a meth lab out of his St. Albans home, allegedly in the presence of young children.

Eric Harbour, 30, of 107 Sixth Street, was indicted in October on two counts of operating a clandestine drug lab and three counts of operating a drug lab in the presence of minor children.

When police arrested Harbour on Aug. 17, several adults, along with a 7-week-old baby, a 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl were also found in the home, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Harbour pleaded guilty to one drug lab count earlier this year. As part of the plea, he cannot seek another job as a paramedic.
