It will be displayed on 350 telephone kiosks throughout the city.

Fire Department City of New York | | Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Members of the FDNY’s EMS Command gathered outside Van Wagner Headquarters in Manhattan on May 11, to unveil the 2010 EMS Week poster celebrating National EMS Week, which starts May 16.

“Thank you to all our EMS members who make a difference every day,” said Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano. “As the Department gets busier and busier, they get better and better.”

Chief of EMS John Peruggia added, “As this poster shows, our members are a dedicated, committed, hard-working, diverse group.”

Designed by graphic artist Iwona Gardner, the poster features 500 photos of FDNY EMS members at work in New York City.

It will be displayed on 350 telephone kiosks throughout the city, donated by Van Wagner.

“When they thank us [for donating the kiosk space] I’m a little embarrassed,” said Van Wagner CEO Richard Schaps. “They are the ones making this City a better place to live and work each day.”
