DETROIT - Eight people were transported to the hospital after a bus accident around 9:15 a.m. on Monday.

It happened at Grand River Avenue and Fisher Freeway in Detroit.

Police said a Lexus was stopped at the light and his front end was sticking out too far. The D-DOT bus hit the front of him.

Greg Balan, the driver of the Lexus said he is not sure what happened.

"I spun around. I don't know how the back got hurt. I must have hit the bus again," Balan said.

Balan was wearing his seatbelt.

Police said it appears they all had minor injuries and are expected to be OK.

No charges are expected to be filed.
