As responders attempted to place him in a golf cart to take him to the school nurse, he became verbally abusive

PASADENA, Calif. -- A Pasadena High School student punched a high school security officer and a paramedic while being taken from campus to the hospital Tuesday because he was intoxicated, according to Pasadena police.

At 3 p.m. Tuesday, Pasadena High security officers found the 15-year-old male, allegedly extremely intoxicated, at physical education class. As they attempted to place him in a golf cart to take him to the school nurse, he became verbally abusive and punched one of the officers on the shoulder. The boy then jumped into the driver’s seat of the cart, but the keys had been removed.
