Distracted Driver Crashes into Indiana Ambulance

EVANSVILLE — A distracted driver who hit an ambulance head-on Sunday night was arrested for driving with a suspended license, according to Evansville police.

Michael W. Burris Jr., 27, is currently in the Vanderburgh County jail after police say his Ford truck struck an ambulance while he was driving west on Covert Avenue near the Boeke Road intersection. The impact of the collision overturned the ambulance, which was not carrying a patient.
