No charges had been filed as of last night in connection with a crash in Roxbury yesterday morning involving a Boston EMS ambulance that police said was hit by two women in a 2011 Audi A5.

Police said the ambulance's lights and sirens were on when it was struck at about 8:30 a.m. on its driver's side by the Audi, which sustained front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene

The Audi's driver was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center complaining of head and hand pain, police said. Her passenger was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital to be treated for neck pain.

EMS spokeswoman Jennifer Mehigan said two recruits and a field training officer who were in the ambulance were taken to Boston Medical Center 'to get checked out.'

The ambulance was transporting a 55-year-old Braintree resident to the hospital at the time of the accident. Her condition was not available.

Police said the Audi was on Parker Street headed toward Huntington Avenue when it entered the intersection at Ruggles Street. The GMC ambulance, police said, was traveling on Ruggles Street headed toward Huntington Avenue 'with lights and sirens activated.'
