CBS 2 Los Angeles news reporter Serene Branson was said to be "feeling fine" the morning after a confounding live latenight news report raised widespread concern about her health.
Branson's live report outside Sunday's Grammys on Sunday night started with her being unable to complete a sentence and quickly deteriorated to the point where no words were intelligible. A look of concern spread across her face as the 15-second report concluded.
"Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast," CBS 2 said in a statement. "Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning."
No further information on what caused the problems was available. Video of her report spread rapidly online and fed a flurry of speculation about what had happened.
