SILVER SPRING, Md. (WJLA) -- Nine people were injured Monday morning when a Montgomery County RideOn bus crashed into a home in Silver Spring, police say.
Authorities say the bus crashed into a house in the 9400 block of Avenel Drive in Silver Spring at about 10:49 a.m. The bus was trying to make a right turn off of nearby Stateside Drive and onto Avenel when the bus left the roadway and hit a taxicab parked in a driveway, then ran into the house.
Investigators are looking into what caused the bus to leave the road.
The age and gender of the injured are not known, but none of their injures are considered to be life-threatening, officials say. The driver of the bus also suffered minor injuries.
Two people who were inside the house at the time of the collision but were not injured, police say.
