SILVER SPRING, Md. - Authorities say a Metro bus has rear-ended another Metro bus in Silver Spring, injuring 17 people.
Montgomery County fire department Assistant Chief Scott Graham says the crash occurred just after 7 a.m. at University Boulevard West and Burnett Avenue. He says 17 people suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and that some were students from a local high school.
Graham says the eastbound lanes of University Boulevard have been shut down.
He says Montgomery County school officials are also at the scene.
