FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth police say 13 students suffered minor injuries when their stopped school bus was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a fellow student.
Police say the accident Tuesday morning happened at an intersection in north Fort Worth. The bus was struck by a sport utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old student. Police did not immediately say whether the teen would be cited.
Sgt. Chad Mahaffey says the bus carried the driver and 36 passengers. Neither driver was injured.
A spokeswoman for the Northwest Independent School District in Justin, Lesley Weaver, says all of the students attend Northwest High School.
Mahaffey says 13 students complained of pain. NISD says another bus transported the injured students to a hospital to be checked out.
