ARENAC COUNTY, Mich. -- An Arenac County, Mich., jury began hearing testimony Monday in the trial of a Standish paramedic accused of molesting a teenager while the pair traveled by ambulance to a local hospital.
David Spresny, 42, is accused of four sexual misconduct charges, three of which allege that the former paramedic digitally penetrated a 16-year-old girl.
Spresny's defense attorney maintains that his client had no sexual contact with the alleged victim.
On Monday, prosecutors and Spresny's defense attorney seated a jury in Arenac County Circuit Court and opened testimony in a trial that is expected to last at least through Wednesday.
Spresny's alleged victim was injured during a beach party near Alger last July. Spresny allegedly assaulted her while she lay incapacitated in his ambulance.Spresny remains free after posting bond last year. His employer, Saginaw-based Mobile Medical Response, suspended the paramedic without pay shortly after his arrest last July.
