A Richmond ambulance en route to a call with its siren and emergency lights activated collided with a sport utility vehicle at West Broad and North Belvidere streets downtown this afternoon, sending one person from the SUV to the hospital.
The gray Nissan SUV was tipped over on the driver s side in the intersection and the ambulance sustained heavy damage to its front end.
