Menoher Heights Volunteer Fire Company is shutting down its ambulance service at 12:01 a.m. Monday.
It is a financial matter, fire company President Tabitha Livingston said. The run load doesn t support the ambulance. Cost of supplies and the salaries of the employees are more than we get from insurance companies.
There will be no interruption of emergency response, Upper Yoder Township supervisors stressed.
Supervisors have made arrangements with Upper Yoder Township ambulance service to handle all medical calls, Upper Yoder police Chief Walter Howell said Friday.
