SMOKY LAKE, Alta. - One person has been killed in a head-on collision between an ambulance and pickup truck in northern Alberta.
The crash happened on Highway 28, about 20 kilometres west of Smoky Lake.
Brian Clark, 54, of Stony Plain, Alta., was in the truck and died at the scene.
A female ambulance attendant was airlifted to hospital in Edmonton, the patient was admitted to Smoky Lake Health Centre and the female ambulance driver was treated and released.
Police say none of the injuries were life threatening.
Smoky Lake is about 70 kilometres northeast of Edmonton. (CTV Edmonton)
