The National EMS Memorial Service has announced the official line of duty death of EMT Paul Bazinet, 52, of the Empire Ambulance Service, NY on January 3, 2010.
According to reports from the NEMSMS and Firefighter Close Calls, EMT Bazinet was part of a crew completing a transport when he reported to his partner that he felt winded and asked to be taken to a hospital. Enroute Bazinet became unresponsive. His partner called for help and began treatment.
Bazinet was taken to Saratoga Hospital where he passed away. His cause of death reported by the NEMSMS is cardiac arrest.
