CHICOPEE - Two city firefighters, a patient being transported in a Chicopee Fire Department ambulance and a driver of a second vehicle were all injured Thursday night in a collision at Resnic and Pine streets in Holyoke.
Fire Chief Stephen S. Burkott said Firefighters/Medic Stephen D. Lusty, who was driving the ambulance, and Firefighter/Medic Shaun F. Foley, who was in the rear of the ambulance tending to a patient, were all taken to Holyoke Medical Center where they were treated and released.
Burkott said the driver of the other vehicle, which a preliminary report indicates went through a stop sign, was also taken to Holyoke Medical Center and released.
