NEW YORK (AP) - The Fire Department is investigating a report that two emergency medical technicians on a coffee break refused to help a pregnant woman in Brooklyn who later died.
The New York Post said the EMTs were buying bagels on Dec. 9 when 25-year-old Eutisha Revee Rennix collapsed. The paper says store employees asked the EMTs to help but they allegedly refused.
The Post said Rennix, who worked at the bakery, was struggling to breathe. The workers ended up calling 911.
Rennix was rushed to the hospital where she died. Doctors delivered her baby girl, who also died a few hours later.
The Fire Department has declined to comment on the incident, except to say that it was investigating.Read More,
