Santa Barbara, CA -- The resqme, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Red Dot’s international jury awarded our resqme tool for the best Product Design 2014. For more than sixty years, the Red Dot Design Award has been awarded in Essen, Germany. The Red Dot Design award is the most prestigious distinction in the world for product design. This year, a panel over 40 independent experts from the design industry analyzed more than 1,800 products out of 3,000 entries from 53 countries. The Red Dot Design Award, for its high quality of industrial design, awarded Resqme.

"I wish to personally congratulate Laurent Colasse on his resqme tool which has impressed the Committee of international experts for the quality of the industrial design of his invention" said Peter Zec, creator and President of Red Dot.

"This distinction honors and rewards the work of all our teams and proves that the resqme ® is the essential solution for road safety and helps save lives when every second counts" said Laurent Colasse.

Did you know?

In addition of being awarded for its ingenuity, safety and survival the resqme tool has been saving lives for more than ten years. As of today, millions of motorists and drivers around the world have our resqme! Easy to use, small, light and inexpensive, it is a keychain that you attach on your car key: it has a protected sharp blade to cut a jammed seatbelt and a steel spring loaded to break the side windows of the car in case of vehicle’s entrapment.

"This past decade, we’ve been providing a reliable and effective solution to improve safety on the road” said Laurent Colasse. "It is extremely important that each motorist remain pro-active in safety and has the knowledge how to get out of a vehicle quickly and safely in case of an emergency."

The Department of Commerce of United States, through the U.S. Embassy of Netherlands, also awardedLaurent Colasse the certificate of Commercial accomplishment in 2011. This certificate rewards the efforts made towards the national cause for vehicle’s safety and the continuation of the development of commercial activities.
