Today, the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Section of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) announced they have made a sponsor-level donation to the National EMS Memorial Service (NEMSMS). The EMS Section executive board awarded the donation to NEMSMS to remember and honor the men and women of America’s emergency medical services who have given their lives in the line of duty.
“The EMS Section of the IAFC is honored to participate in this worthy cause and we support the mission of the National EMS Memorial Service because the death of any EMS professional in the performance of their duties is a tragic loss, and they should be recognized and honored,” said Deputy Chief Gary Ludwig, chair of the EMS Section.
“We are deeply honored to receive the support of such a prominent and well-thought of organization as the IAFC,” said Ted Sayer, National EMS Memorial Service president. “We appreciate their encouragement and support.”
