ST. PAUL, MN - Fisdap, a software company that specializes in online tools for EMS education, in partnership with the UCLA Prehospital Care Research Forum, has released a new online video series designed to encourage EMS providers, educators and students to get involved in EMS research.

Research 101 is an online, 4 hour video series that features short videos followed by quizzes that can be used for educational purposes. Everyone who completes the course will earn a certificate.

Dr. Baxter Larmon and David Page lecture on the benefits of research and deliver a 12 step plan to getting started on a research project. Dr. Larmon is the Director of the Prehospital Care Research Forum at UCLA and David Page is a paramedic instructor at Inver Hills Community College and writes the research column for JEMS magazine.

Dr. Larmon and Page offer a live version of this lecture series for Research Summits at national conferences. Recording the presentation and making it freely available enables more people to learn from two of the leading voices in EMS research.

This course is an extension of Fisdap and the PCRF’s vision to promote research in EMS practice and education that will lead to important evidence that will drive progress and validate best practices.

Research 101 is available now and free to everyone. Read more and access the course here: http://fisdap.hs-sites.com/ems-research-101
