Companies to co-market and support Records Management (RMS) and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, Mapping and Analysis solutions and SafetyPAD® (ePCR) suite throughout North, South America -

Minneapolis, Minn., and North Vancouver, B.C. – June 6, 2013 - OPEN Incorporated, makers of the SafetyPAD® suite of technology products for Emergency Medical Services, and FDM Software, a market leader in Public Safety enterprise solutions, announced today their formal partnership.

The companies will collectively co-market and support each other’s offerings to emergency services agencies through North and South America.

“For some time, our respective clients have searched for a single solution that could provide best-in-class Electronic Patient Care Reporting systems alongside top-tier Records Management and Computer-Aided Dispatch systems,” says Ed Colin, President of FDM Software. “OPEN and SafetyPAD have a stellar reputation for empowering agencies to easily collect, use and share incident and patient EMS data. The partnership was a natural fit for both companies and we’re excited for the benefits we’ll be able to provide to first responders!”

The agreement will enable FDM and OPEN to leverage each other’s skills and expertise to better serve emergency service agencies in North America and to expand their operations in international markets. Each company will train to support the other’s system.

“Partnering with the recognized industry leaders in RMS and CAD platforms made perfect sense for us and FDM is the standard. For as synergistic as our respective product catalogs are, we found that our commitment to emergency service personnel is equally as steadfast,” says Michael Vukovich, President of OPEN, Inc. “Our corporate philosophies are very similar and SafetyPAD has been absorbed in ensuring first responders can focus more on the patients they service, and less on the paperwork they must manage. Together, our technology solutions make a powerful yet cost effective infrastructure that enables agencies to do just that.”
