DENVER, July 30 -- Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq: AIRM) announced today that American Eurocopter, LLC of Grand Prairie, TX, has selected Air Methods' Products Division (AMPD) to provide their single-engine emergency medical services (EMS) customers with medical interiors, avionics and airframe modifications, and equipment under an exclusive, long term agreement.

The American Eurocopter AS-350 and EC-130 helicopters have become the popular choice with single-engine EMS customers. The A-Star helicopter has a long history of reliable service to the air ambulance industry and continues to exceed operator's expectations on performance and value. A number of the largest air ambulance operators in the U.S. have multi-year orders for these aircraft, including Air Methods Corporation.

AMPD has developed a full line of medical interior systems, avionics, and airframe accessory installations and certification for the AS-350 and EC-130 helicopters. "With nearly 40 aircraft modified with these products in only the past four years, Air Methods has become a leading supplier of rugged, light weight, mission-effective equipment for the A-Star line of helicopters and we are pleased to have been selected by American Eurocopter to be an exclusive partner for their EMS customers," said Arthur Torwirt, Vice President, for Air Methods Products Division.

Under the terms of this agreement, American Eurocopter customers that select one of these models of aircraft will be offered AMPD services and products by American Eurocopter. This provides the customer with turn-key delivery of an EMS AS-350 or EC-130 backed by the two leading suppliers to the industry today. The average modification of these helicopters exceeds a half million dollars per aircraft, with AMPD capable of providing 10 to 20 of these completions a year if required.

Air Methods Corporation (http://www.airmethods.com) is a leader in emergency aeromedical transportation and medical services. The Air Medical Services Division is the largest provider of air medical transport services for hospitals. The LifeNet Division is one of the largest community-based providers of air medical services. The Products Division specializes in the design and manufacture of aeromedical and aerospace technology. The Company's fleet of owned, leased or maintained aircraft features over 200 helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
