Cold packs are a standard item in BLS trauma kits and on ambulance shelves. Many of the commonly applied cold packs use ammonium nitrate as an active ingredient. Ammonium nitrate has been an ingredient in fertilizer and explosives for decades, and companies are looking for ways to eliminate this hazard. NORTECH Labs is one of the first to do so. Using Carbama Kool as the cold-activating agent, the InstaKool Cold Compress increases the speed and duration of the reaction. Now you can effectively treat an injury with RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) for an extended time and drop the hazmat shipping charge.
