Every year,JEMS showcases recently released products designed to help EMS providers do their jobs more efficiently and safely. This March, theJEMS product review team spent two days combing the exhibit hall at the 24th annual EMS Today Conference & Exposition in Baltimore. The team of seasoned field providers, educators and EMS procurement specialists met with 227 exhibitors, reviewing products recently introduced to our industry and asking about product design, rationale, function and practical application for prehospital medicine. Durable Defibrillator
The new LIFEPAK 1000 from Medtronic, unveiled at EMS Today, is the most rugged defibrillator ever built by Medtronic. It features cprMAX technology, which allows the user to configure shock settings, pulse check times, rhythm confirmation and other parameters to keep the device compliant with the protocols of today and the future. The LIFEPAK 1000 has a large, easy-to-view screen that can also display the current ECG (optional).
