NORTHGLENN, Colo. - Police say a wrong-way driver was killed and three other people were injured in a 10-vehicle accident on a north Denver freeway.
No names have been released and the conditions of the injured weren't available.
A portion of northbound Interstate 25 was closed for nearly five hours after the Monday night collision, reopening at about midnight.
Police say a Jeep Liberty was driving south in the northbound lanes in suburban Northglenn shortly after 7 p.m. when it ran head-on into a pickup pulling a trailer.
The trailer broke free and smashed into other vehicles. The Jeep kept going south and hit several vehicles before stopping on the center median.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
