CLEARFIELD, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a man who may have been dead when paramedics arrived on the scene of a crash in Clearfield was revived and is expected to survive.

The Standard-Examiner in Ogden reported on its Web site that the Utah Highway Patrol says the 22-year-old man was driving a pickup truck and crossed all opposing lanes of traffic on Interstate 15 early Monday. He then hit a sound wall.

Officials say the man was not wearing a seat belt and had to be extricated from the truck. The highway patrol says it appeared he may have been deceased when paramedics arrived but they were able to revive him.

The man is now listed in critical condition and is expected to survive.
