DENVER - Authorities say a mass-transit bus struck a light pole during the morning commute in Denver, sending 13 people to hospitals, including the driver.
Police say none of the injuries in the Thursday crash appeared to be life-threatening. They included a broken nose and a possible concussion.
Police spokeswoman Leslie Branch-Wise says the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. The driver, whose name hasn't been released, has been cited for careless driving.
The bus was operated by the Regional Transportation District.
