More than 250 EMS leaders gathered in the Renaissance Hotel Ballroom for a briefing before Wednesday's EMS Day on the Hill in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).
Attendees from all across the country will meet with their federal representatives on Wednesday to advocate for EMS, better EMS reimbursement and other critically needed enhancements to the EMS system in their states, cities and/or regions.
JEMS Editor-in-Chief, A.J. Heightman, PennWell Public Safety VP and Publisher Jeff Berend, and EMS Insider newsletter Editor Teresa McCallion, are in participating in the event and serving as one of its sponsors.
This year's EMS Day on the Hill is being held in conjunction with the JEMS EMS TODAY Conference and Exposition being conducted at the DC Convention Center, March 5-9.
