From the Editor: A New Year Awaits You

A.J. Heightman | | Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Ready or not, 2007 is just around the corner. A new year, and a new JEMS, awaits you. We've planned articles that will help you prepare for tomorrow's emergencies, starting with an update on AIDS in the January issue and followed by valuable articles on radiation exposures, bariatric patients, the effects of sleep deprivation and many other critical topics ƒ along with the great columns and case reviews that you've come to expect from JEMS. And don't miss our annual 200-City Survey (in February) and annual Salary & Workplace Survey (in October)ƒ industry benchmarks that will help youƒ and your administrator and medical directorƒ assess your agency and individual careers.

As we move into a new year, also remember to mark your calendars for the 25th Anniversary of the EMS Today Conference and Exposition, where we'll present important sessions on EMS management, new equipment, therapeutic advances, and ways to improve the cardiac and respiratory care you deliver to your patients.

We wish for a safe and happy holiday season for all our readers.
