MECHANICSBURG, PA ‐ South Central Pennsylvania based Digital Planet, Inc. announced the celebration of its two year anniversary today. In 2011, Digital Planet added five full‐time staff members, widely expanded its customer base and increased revenues by two and one half times over its performance in 2010. The team has directed thousands of dollars to various charities in the region. The company has also sponsored several programs to support local Chambers of Commerce and nonprofit organizations.
“We are very pleased with the progress we’ve made in 2011,” states Rick Gurba, President. Gurba continues, “great employees building and delivering quality products and services to an exceptional customer base have placed us in this enviable position. Our business plan for 2012 should lead to doubling our staff size, revenue and profitability.”
Digital Planet released several software products in 2011 which has contributed to a portion of the increased revenue. Computer network support services, website development and other back office services contributed to the balance of the increase. Digital Planet plans to focus on those same areas in 2012 along with some unique public‐private partnerships. New staff positions in the areas of sales, project management, computer network support, technical support and software development are included in their 2012 plan.
