Acadian Ambulance has expanded its service area in South Texas with the addition of Medina County’s ESD 4.
The board of directors unanimously selected Acadian as its EMS provider during a meeting June 21. Two other companies competed for the contract.
Acadian has served the area since March, when the previous EMS agency closed unexpectedly.
“We’re very pleased to be able to continue Acadian’s growth in Texas,” said Troy Mayer, vice president of operations for Central and South-Central Texas. “As in the rest of our service areas, we’re determined to provide Medina County residents with the best possible patient care and service.”
Acadian expanded to Texas in 2006 and now serves 24 counties and Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin.
