CLEARWATER, Fla. -- A respiratory therapist on her way to work at a hospital hit a pedestrian on State Road 60, and then likely saved the man's life, Clearwater Police said.
Portions of Gulf To Bay Boulevard were shut down near Keene Road for hours after Patricia Syraski's vehicle hit a pedestrian just after 6 a.m. Monday. "It's terrible. You see something happen. You don't expect it. It was really very awful," Syraski said.
