ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Firefighters rescued two cats from a burning Orange County apartment Sunday night, but a third cat died. Orange County paramedics performed feline cardiopulmonary resuscitation and gave the three cats oxygen with masks designed for animals, according to Orange County Fire Rescue. One cat was revived at the scene, and a second was taken to Underhill Animal Clinic on Lake Underhill Road. The third did not survive. The blaze broke out about 10 p.m. at The Club at Orlando Apartments, 8215 Sun Spring Circle. The fire was put out in less than 12 minutes. Preliminary reports show a burning pot on the stove caused the fire.
