JEMS.com: It has been reported to Ohio's 10TV.com that the amputation was a result of the accident and not that of EMS personnel on the scene. While 10TV.com still has the original story posted, minus a correction, we correct ours and offer our readers apologies for any unintentional misleading.

NELSONVILLE, Ohio Paramedics had to amputate a bus driver's leg at the scene of a crash in Athens County on Monday.

The chartered bus carrying Hocking College students crashed into a dump truck on U.S. Route 33, 10TV News reported.

The bus was returning from a trip to Columbus.

The bus driver, who was identified as George Stout, was in critical condition at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, 10TV News reported.
