Florida Woman Steals Ambulance

A 48-year-old woman stole an empty ambulance on Wednesday morning, police said.

Karen Annette Taylor was arrested and charged with grand theft auto and resisting arrest with violence.

A Miami-Dade police officer saw Taylor driving the yellow striped Medivan ambulance west on Southwest 40th Street near 77th Avenue.

The van matched the description of an ambulance that had been stolen in Coral Gables earlier in the day, a police report said.
