Are you happy in your current position? Do you feel your pay is commensurate with your experience? Ever wonder if there's pay parity between the men and women of EMS? The "2001  JEMS Salary Survey" is one place you can look for answers to these and other questions about salaries, job satisfaction and attrition in EMS. For instance, this year's survey appears to suggest a positive link between job satisfaction and  increased personnel performance accountability. Other notable findings include an apparent lack of a relationship between unionized labor and lower attrition rates.
