SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- TargetSafety, Inc. has partnered with the Volunteer and Combination Officers Section (VCOS) of the International Association of Fire Chiefs to provide Volunteer and Combination Fire Departments in the U.S. with a $1 million online training grant covering fire, EMS, terrorism, FEMA, OSHA, and human resource training.

TargetSafety, the industry leader in online firefighter training, and the VCOS, the leading representation of the volunteer fire service, have formed this partnership to provide members of the volunteer fire service with essential firefighter training. Volunteer and combination fire departments play an essential and critical role in our nation's fire industry, and this online delivery format will allow them to receive quality training that is flexible enough to accommodate their unique schedules.

Departments who are awarded a grant will receive one year of TargetSafety's services at no cost. Services include a customized training website; access to selected TargetSafety online training courses, which include topics ranging from NFPA firefighter training, EMS continuing education, terrorism, OSHA safety and HR issues, as well as tools to track and manage training.

"We are thankful to firefighters, training officers, and fire chiefs across the United States who have made TargetSafety the leader in online firefighter and EMS training," said Bruce Kaechele, President

& CEO of TargetSafety, Inc. "This grant initiative is just a small way of thanking the entire FIRE-EMS family for all that they have done for us. TargetSafety has a long-term commitment to the FIRE-EMS industry and we hope to give back even more to them in the future."
